Plasma Storm checklist and upcoming site changes |
|
|
By: Kimberley Date: 20/March/13 |
Plasma Storm TCG checklist is up. Sorry it took so long. The next set to come out is "Plasma Freeze" and it is released in early May.
Now for site-related stuff: I do think I will go ahead and scrap the Pokémon locations lists. I don't feel that they're being used as much as I would like them to and they're not worth the trouble. Also, I have been thinking about designing a new layout for the site (as much as I love this one, I feel the site needs a revamp). I was thinking earlier today about renaming and getting a new domain for the site (obviously I'll keep "takharii.com" and redirect it to the new domain). I am considering "PokéPrint" with either pokeprint.com or pokeprint.net and the tagline will be "the printable Pokémon fansite!". If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to let me know in the chatbox or on our Facebook page.

Update - not dead |
|
|
By: Kimberley Date: 15/March/13 |
Oh dear. First update of the year and it's halfway through March. Ugh Apologies for the lack of activity recently. I've been really unmotivated to do much at all, as well as being distracted by sad television shows (BBC, *cries*) and a crapload of school work. Yeah. So the site's not dead. And I have half-completed the Plasma Storm TCG checklist. That'll be up I have been thinking though; about the Pokémon locations lists. Does anyone, other than myself, actually use them? I mean, when I originally came up with the idea, it seemed logical, however in the past few years, smartphones and other mobile devices have practically skyrocketed, right? So it seems a little pointless doing them when people can just look stuff up on their phones now, right? (I used to use my checklists but now I just look locations up on my 3DS browser). So I was thinking that I might scrap that part of the site. Thoughts? I simply can't find the time, or the effort, to bother with them. Getting rid of them will take a huge weight off my chest. Just something to think about. -Kimberley |
Merry Christmas |

By: Kimberley Date: 24/Dec/12 |
Hey everyone! Just a quick update to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope everyone has a nice time with their friends and/or family over the holiday break. Just for a bit of fun, I've installed a cute little script that makes the website snow (which is a tad ironic because I live in Australia, and Christmas is in the middle of Summer over here!) Again, Merry Christmas! -Kimberley |
Twitter down + news |

By: Kimberley Date: 14/Dec/12 |
Yes! Under a month again! I've been lazy/busy/forgetful/whatever again and there's no new content since the last update, but I can tell you now that I plan on making printable AR Marker sheets for the Pokédex 3D and Pokédex 3D Pro. I dunno if anyone else'll use them, but I know I will. I think my @Takharii Twitter account got hacked or something and was automatically posting spammy crap, so I've closed that down (I may re-open it in the future, if I can be bothered (which, at this point, is unlikely)). AND OH MY GOD N IS APPEARING IN THE ANIME!! DO YOU KNOW HOW EXCITED I AM!!??!!111?? Well, now you know how excited I am. Heh. -Kimberley EDIT @ 16/Dec/12: I forgot to mention, if anyone actually wants to request a resource, I'm open! It can be either something I already plan on doing or something that I haven't thought of. Ask away if you want anything! |
New TCG checklists |

|
By: Kimberley Date: 15/Nov/12 |
Yes! Within a month! Score one for me! Anyway, I finally got around to completing checklists for the two newest TCG sets (well, one set and one promo set): Boundaries Crossed and the Dragon Vault. My apologies for them being so late. |
Ugh. Her. Bleh. |

Oh dear. Another full month between updates. And no new content. Again. This update's title is based on a noise I just made due to lack of enthusiasm. So yeah. There isn't much happening around here as of late. Prereleases for the new Pokémon TCG set have begun (mine's next Sunday), so I'll have that checklist up ASAP. But other than that, not much has changed. Although I do have a few things to say; they're not particularly positive but I'd really appreciate if you read them. Starting with the Facebook page. If anyone's been following my YouTube channel, you'd know I was giving away TCG online codes a while back. I would like to point out that that has finished now (and I don't honestly remember getting the site involved). So please, please stop posting on the Facebook wall asking if I/anyone has code cards to give away. I'm not mad/annoyed at anyone in particular, but please don't do it anymore. The Facebook page is about the site, and the site is about printable resources. Asking for free stuff is the only thing anyone ever posts about on the page and I'm sick of it. If you keep doing it, I'll close the page. Simple as that. One a slightly related note (or at least, in a slightly related tone), if anyone actually uses this site's resources, or if you even like the site, please let me know in the chatbox (link in blue section below). I like running a site, but I'd like to know if anyone actually uses my work. I know of at least three individuals who have used them (you guys rock!), but knowing that more people use them will keep me motivated, which is something I've been lacking recently. I'm sorry if this update is negative. I should probably have waited until tomorrow to update, but too late; it's done now. So... who's been enjoying Black and White 2? Personnally, I find Gen V's storyline the best so far. And I like what they did with the player characters' names (for anyone who's interested, Rosa and Nate's names, when put together, pretty much spell "resonate". They also did this in the Japanese versions, where Kyouhei (the boy) and Mei (the girl) put together form "Kyoumei", which is essentially the Japanese word for resonate). God, they're better than *insert f-bomb here*ing Hilbert and Hilda -_______________________- |
Minor layout tweaks + archived content |
|
|
By: Kimberley Date: 23/Sep/12 |
I just thought I'd let you all know that I've made a few minor tweaks to the layout of the website (though you probably already figured that out for yourselves). I've changed the Pikachu image on the splash page to an image that I drew myself (yay!) and I've re-arranged the site's footer a bit to include a partner section (there really isn't too big of a difference between affiliation and partnership, but seeings as affiliation with Pokémon Trainers Australia (PTA) works in a slightly different way, I figured I'd give them a bigger link). I've also re-uploaded all of the site's archived content (updates, layouts, polls etc.). I took them all down for the revamp last year and I never really got around to putting them back on display, and I thought I'd actually lost it all, but I found them this morning when I was cleaning out my computer's desktop. I'll continue to work on little things like these, and I'll also try to work on the Pokémon locations lists now because I'm on school holidays (I know, I say that I'll work on them every school holidays, and I never get anything finished. I'm a bad person ;^;). That's all I can think of. I have two Pokémon TCG booster boxes coming in the mail? ~Kimberley |
So much Pokémon news! |
|
|
By: Kimberley Date: 9/Sep/12 |
There's so much stuff I want to say in this update - where to begin? Firstly, with Dragons Exalted well and truly released, I can announce that November's Pokémon Trading Card Game set is called Boundaries Crossed. This set will feature Kyurem as it will be the first set after the English release of Pokémon Black and White 2. Obviously, as the set has just been officially been announced, we don't yet know the set list but we know that Boundaries Crossed will contain the six Pokémon-EX cards from Freeze Bolt and Cold Flare. I'll have the set checklist up as soon as the set list is revealed. Secondly, a digital download pack featuring Mew has become available on Pokemon.com. I'm not sure how long this promotion will run for, so you should download them while they're still available. On that note, I saved all of those files to my computer and I may upload them to Takharii.com if the are taken down from Pokemon.com. Finally, we have a new affiliate: Pokémon Trainers Australia! This website is an Australian-based Pokémon fan site with a large forum, guides and walkthroughs! I feel very lucky to have a partnership with them! One more thing: I've uploaded a B/W EV training hotpots list with the help of Dungeons from Sacred Sword. Big thanks to him! That's all for now. If I come up with any other news, I'll let you know! -Kimberley |
Win a Dragons Exalted booster box!! |
|
|
By: Kimberley Date: 23/Aug/12 |
I thought I'd liven this place up a bit by letting you all know that our friends over at PokeCollection are giving away one sealed Dragons Exalted booster box! Like all boxes, this thing comes with 36 Dragons Exalted booster packs. What you have to do is subscribe to PokeCollection's YouTube channel, watch this YouTube video and follow the instructions. There's only one day left (sorry for the late notice) and you've gotta be in it to win it, so get on over there for your chance to win a sealed booster box! :) ~Kimberley |
Dragons Exalted released! |
|
|
By: Kimberley Date: 31/Jun/12 |
Sorry for not updating in a while. It's just the usual - been really busy with school and stuff. Anyway, with the North American pre-releases for the latest TCG set underway, I present to you the Dragons Exalted checklist! I'll be heading to my own pre-release on the twelfth of August, so if you live in Sydney, I'll be at Good Games Miranda, so be sure to drop in and say hi :) In other, less relevant news, I've moved the chat box to its own page and added some social media links in its place, so be sure to check them out if you haven't already. That's all for now.~ |
Update |

|
By: Kimberley Date: 5/Jun/12 |
It's been a while since I updated. I've been meaning to do it for like half a month now but I just can't find the time to work on the site much. Anyway, in terms of Pokémon/site news, the new TCG set, Black & White: Dragons Exalted, has been announced so I'll have the set list up when the full list is available. Also, I've been meaning to work on the Pokémon locations checklists but like I said, I'm finding it difficult to work on them because of school and other things. I'll probably take a notepad to school and work on the articles as well, because I don't think I'll be able to get them up soon if I don't. I did, however, finish the DPP Super Contest Accessory Matchup checklist, and I've nearly done the B/W EV Training locations list as well. Last but not least, I have two new affiliates (well, one new and one re-added): Azure Flute and SSPokémon! Bonus points for an original title? |
Dark Explorers + affiliation opened |

|
By: Kimberley Date: 2/May/12 |
Happy birthday to me! For yesterday, anyway. Just a quick update today. I've added the Dark Explorers TCG checklist and removed some inactive affiliates, and because of this, I have re-opened affiliation. That's all for now. |
Minor edits, new misc. item up |
|
|
By: Kimberley Date: 11/Apr/12 |
I've been making a few minor edits around the site recently. For example, I've changed the layout of the /site/ directory page, I've edited the content section slightly so that there are no gaps between paragraphs and I've added a mention of Kyurem in the "Is Rotom Legendary?" article. Also, I've finally added the Sinnoh Underground Map printable sheet and I'm currently working on the Sinnoh Super Contest Accessory Ratings chart. Next up after that will be HG/SS EV Training Hotspots and B/W EV Training Hotspots. Also, I've been working on the "Origins of the Beasts" article and gathering ideas for the "Black & White suck?" article (which may change, depending on what I come up with, to "A Change for the Better?"). Also, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the "creative" articles yet. I may keep them, I may scrap them. So yeah, I'm pleased with myself due to all this upcoming content. The school holidays are great because I get very little time to work on stuff for this site, as well as my other site (mind you, I'm on the computer all the time (whether I should be or not), I just don't use that time for the site). But yeah, like I said, a lot of new stuff is headed this way so keep your eyes open and like our Facebook page for updates!

I wasn't going to do this, but I caved in and did it anyway. Takharii.com now has a Facebook page, so please head on over and like us! Other than that, I've archived the main page and my school holidays start tomorrow (yeah, I couldn't wait one day to update), so I'll try and find some time to work on the site.
